Deep-Live-Cam is basically a tool that uses AI to transform your face in real-time, celebrities included. The software achieves this by first detecting faces in both the source and target images before passing the data to a pre-trained AI model called “inswapper” to perform the face swap.
Real-time deepfakes are here. I used the repo below to swap my face directly in my webcam feed as JD Vance, Hugh Grant, Zuckerburg, and George Clooney.
We know people have been using this kind of tech for malicious purposes… Don't trust your eyes, don't trust your ears. pic.twitter.com/iWvgtwtXLD

The data is also passed to another model called GFPGAN to refine the quality of the swapped faces by not only enhancing details, but correcting artifacts that occur during the face-swapping process. We can see in the demo that Deep-Live-Cam can still use some work when going from Mark Zuckerberg to George Clooney. Check it out here on Github.
