Design Theory Stratasys 3D Printer AI Sunglasses
There’s this 3D-printed Iron Man helmet, and then these futuristic sunglasses created with a $200,000 Stratasys 3D printer by industrial designer John Mauriello, also known as Design Theory on YouTube. A total of four sunglasses were made, each one highlighting the four elements of matter: Earth, Water, Air, and Fire.

Strtasys has several 3D printer models, but the J850 Pro is the only one priced in the $200,000 USD range. This 3D printer is capable of printing seven materials simultaneously, allowing for virtually unlimited material combinations and multi-material parts. Whether it be sunglasses, consumer products or medical devices, it boasts a high print resolution to ensure smooth surfaces for parts and incredible accuracy, even for complex geometries. As you can see, many of these sunglasses, especially the water prototype, have complex geometries generated by AI.
