Dot Braille Smartwatch

Introducing DOT, the world’s first braille smartwatch, and it’s not just a concept. Rather than a conventional display, this one uses raised bumps to show braille text. More specifically, the face is comprised of four cells with six balls each, and the biggest challenge for the company was figuring out how to keep the exposed pieces protected while in use. “The reality is that inclusive information access is limited by cost barriers and lack of innovations. While many products are designed exclusively for the majority, our visually impaired communities can’t benefit from much of its advances,” said founder and CEO Eric Kim. Available at select retailers in London, priced at $320 beginning next month. Click here to view the first image in this week’s funny work pictures gallery.
