A Mercedes-Benz CLA prototype was teased in a new video showing the EV at the automaker’s test facility in Immendingen, Germany. It’s slated to take on the Tesla Model 3 in 2026, with the world premier planned for 2025.
The CLA EV incorporates technology from the EQXX concept into series production, while the next generation electric drivetrain unit was developed by Mercedes‑Benz in-house to ensure high performance and efficiency. Power numbers have not yet been revealed, but we do know that it will have a two-speed transmission. Plus, it is going to feature the AI-powered MBUX Virtual Assistant, thus enhancing the car-driver relationship with natural, intuitive interaction and proactive support.
