Here’s a first: a roller coaster that’s designed to take 24 passengers on a one way trip. It’s called the “Euthanasia Coaster” and is an amusement park ride that lasts approximately 3-minutes – the first two-minutes are spent climbing a steep hill. Once you reach the top and begin falling, you’ll go through a series of loops that will make you lose consciousness, and ultimately die, due to the G forces. It is designed to subject the rider to a series of unique experiences from euphoria to thrill and from tunnel vision to loss of consciousness. In keeping with the theme – the rollercoaster carriage is black. When travelling at 100m/s, the passenger would then pass away following a lack of oxygen reaching the brain. The surreal structure is the brainchild of Lithuanian engineer Julijonas Urbonas.
