Figure 03 Humanoid Robot Reveal
Meet Figure 03, the latest humanoid robot from Figure, a company that’s laser focused on creating robots that work alongside humans. This third-gen machine was designed to learn from people, move naturally, and scale up for mass use.

Figure 03 is built around Helix, the company’s homegrown AI that combines vision, language and action. The robot’s sensory system has been completely overhauled. The cameras capture twice as many frames per second as the previous model, cut delays by a quarter and see 60% more of the world around them, all in a sleeker package. That means sharper, faster vision for navigating messy spaces like a cluttered kitchen or a busy warehouse. The cameras also have a deeper field of view so the robot can pick up on details whether it’s reaching for a coffee mug or dodging a stray shoe.

The hands are where things get really cool, as each one has a palm camera for close up tasks like grabbing something from a tight shelf where the main cameras can’t see. These cameras feed real time visuals to Helix so the robot can adjust its grip on the fly. The hands themselves are softer and more flexible than before with fingertips that mold to objects for a firmer hold. Figure didn’t just buy off the shelf sensors – they built their own. These custom sensors can feel as little as 3 grams of pressure, about the weight of a paperclip. That’s sensitive enough to handle delicate items like glassware or catch a slipping tool before it falls.

Figure 03 is lighter and smaller than the previous model, so it can move through tight spaces like hallways. It’s covered in soft, washable fabrics instead of hard metal, and padded with foam to avoid pinching fingers or bumping into kids. The battery boasts multiple safety layers and a UN38.3 certification, meaning it’s been rigorously tested for reliability. It charges wirelessly through coils in the robot’s feet – just step onto a charging pad and it powers up at 2kW.

The speaker is also twice as large and nearly four times as loud as the previous generation, with a relocated microphone for improved conversations. You can chat to Figure 03 normally, and it won’t sound like a glitchy voice assistant.

For enterprises, Figure 03 is a workhorse because its actuators move twice as fast and have higher torque, allowing it to pick and position at speeds comparable to human labor. The new hands and cameras can handle anything from small metal pieces to soft plastic bags. Companies can brand it with durable uniforms or side screens, and the wireless charging allows it to operate practically continuously by placing it on a charging mat during breaks. It also offloads data at 10 Gbps over mmWave, allowing it to share what it learns with a full fleet of robots.

Most humanoid robots are one-off experiments, expensive and slow to build. Figure flipped that script by designing this robot for high volume manufacturing. They reduced the number of parts and assembly steps, swapped out custom machining for processes like die-casting and injection molding. This makes each unit cheaper to produce and as production ramps up the cost goes down even more. Figure even built its own factory, called BotQ, which can produce 12,000 robots a year to start, 100,000 in the next four years. They also created a new supply chain from scratch, partnering with suppliers who can handle massive orders while keeping quality tight.
