Xiaomi’s CyberOne beat Tesla to the punch, but Engineered Arts’ Ameca humanoid robot is far ahead of the game. It recently got upgraded with GPT-3, the third-generation Generative Pre-trained Transformer, which is essentialy a neural network machine learning model trained to use internet data to generate any type of text.
Natural language processing is one of GPT-3’s major components and it’s capable of generating human language natural text. It does this by using text on the internet to help train GPT-3 to generate realistic human text and respond to any text appropriate to the context. When not used by Ameca, GPT-3 can be used to create advertising copy and even poetry that mimics the style of Shakespeare and other famous authors.
