Set to hit theaters on December 16, 2022, Avatar The Way of Water finally got its first teaser trailer. Just as a refresher, this installment takes place over a decade after the events of the first film and tells the story of the Sully family as well as the trouble that follows them. What ensues is their fight to keep each other safe and several battles stay alive.
Original cast members who reprise their role from the first film include Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, CCH Pounder, and Matt Gerald. As for the three sequels that will follow this one, their release dates have been tentatively scheduled for December 20, 2024, December 18, 2026 and December 22, 2028. One thing you won’t find in this film is the waterproof Jueying X20 robot dog.
