Boom Supersonic Jet

Forget the G5, Boom’s supersonic jet is designed to travel at speeds up to 1,452 miles per hour (120mph faster than the Concorde). What does this mean? A trip from London to New York will only take a 3.5-hours. This 40-seat aircraft project is being headed by Amazon executive Blake Scholl, with ticket costing $5,000. Currently, the company is planning on 500 routes, including a 5-hour trips from San Francisco to Tokyo and 6-hour flights from Los Angeles to Sydney. “It will be split into two single-seat rows, so everybody has a window and an aisle.To reduce weight, the seats are of the standard domestic first-class variety, so no lay-down beds. To cut flight time, Boom’s plane will cruise at 60,000 feet, where passengers will be able to see the curvature of the earth, while going 2.6 times faster than other passenger planes,” reports Mail Online.
