
When flip phone meets smartphone, you get the Japan-exclusive Mode1 Retro II by P-Up World. Put simply, this is a hybrid device of sorts, with the top half functioning as a touchscreen smartphone while the bottom is a traditional keypad.



Featuring a 3.5-inch touchscreen, a Helio G85 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, microSD expansion, a 48MP rear camera, 13MP selfie camera, a side fingerprint sensor, dual SIM card tray with VoLTE support, a backlit numeric keypad, and a 2,500mAh battery. The device measures 112 mm (w) x 52 mm (h) x 20 mm (d) when folded and weighs in at 145g. Available October 20 in Sheep White and Wolf Black, priced at a reasonable $199 USD. There’s no word yet on if this handset will be released outside of Japan.
