F1 has been testing this piece of equipment since 2022, and it’s fitted into the usual pod on the nose, but rather than remain stationary, it’s capable of adjusting its orientation to keep the horizon level, similar to a camera gimbal. The gyro cam is able to compensate for the car’s pitch, roll, and yaw as it moves through corners, turning just about any race into a video game-like experience.
