Formula 1 wheels aren’t something you come across everyday, and that’s why inventor Sergii Gordieiev turned one into an electric hoverboard of sorts. For those who don’t know, there are seven tire compounds that was available for the 2022 season. Two for wet weather driving, an intermediate for light standing water conditions, and the full wet.
The remaining five tire compounds are designed for dry running, with Sergii using the medium, which is indicated by the yellow sidewall. Everything from the frame to the electric motor was handcrafted, and unfortunately, gyroscopes were not integrated to keep it balanced . However, it still does manage to wobble around on the wet pavement. Now things may have been different if he came across an intermediate F1 wheel with the green sidewall for use in light standing water.
