Tesla’s chief designer, Franz von Holzhausen, provides us with an up-close look at the Cybercab, straight from the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. We get to see why the company decided to make some of the stylistic choices for this steering wheel-less EV.



For those who watched the unveiling from the Warner Bros. Studio lot, you probably already know that the vehicle seats two passengers, has dihedral doors that open automatically, and features a hatchback for cargo. It utilizes the same computer and sensing suite used in Tesla’s existing fleet of vehicles, but does not require any pedals or a steering wheel to function.
