Freeaim VR Shoes
Freeaim’s VR shoes would complement the JumpMod haptic backpack when playing virtual games. The omnidirectional shoes comes equipped with powerful motors that keeps a user within a small play space by negating the user’s motion.

The VR shoes pair with other devices, like a laptop, over Bluetooth. Freeaim has also programmed Steam VR driver that allows the shoes to be used with any Steam VR game or app that supports smooth locomotion. There’s also an optional walking support frame for those who want more reassurance and stability the first few times they use the VR shoes. Currently, the developer edition costs $4,999 USD, while the consumer model is expected to be priced at around $1,000.

Our goal is to have the Freeaim VR Shoes as affordable as possible for everyone to be able to have the most realistic and immersive walking experience possible. At this stage we are unable to provide prices but we are aiming for them to be comparable or cheaper than existing consumer systems, like slidemills,” said the company.
