A new immersive Honda Extended Reality (XR) Mobility Experience debuted at SXSW 2024, combining personal mobility with virtual reality technology. At the heart of this experience is Honda’s UNI-ONE, a hands-free, personal mobility device equipped with advanced self-balancing technology and sensors that enable the user to move in any direction based on postural movements.
SXSW visitors are able to ride UNI-ONE and immerse themselves in their own “choose your VR adventure” at the Honda XR Mobility Experience (booth #729). After putting on the VR headset, users can shift their body weight to steer UNI-ONE and experience the peaceful feeling of floating in the sky or the gliding along a half-pipe path.
