From above, this looks like any other solar farm, but this is an all-new eco resort, designed by Baharash Architecture for a site surrounded by dunes in the UAE. The Liwa Oasis will boast a host of sustainable features, including a 15,700-square-feet solar array that provides enough energy to power the entire 84,000-square-foot development. “At the very early stages of the project, we found out that we could extract groundwater using a deep well. This gave us an opportunity to create a story around a spring, which was of critical importance to Bedouins for trade and transportation routes,” said Baharash Bagherian.
