Yes, a fully-functional Apple I computer just sold for $668,000 at auction, purchased by a wealthy entrepreneur from the Far East. They were designed and hand-built by Steve Wozniak. Wozniak’s friend Steve Jobs had the idea of selling the computer. The Apple I was Apple’s first product, and to finance its creation, Jobs sold his only means of transportation, a VW Microbus and Wozniak sold his HP-65 calculator for $500. Only 200 units of the Apple 1 were ever built, and originally retailed at $666.66. Unfortunately, only 46 of thes original Apple machines are known to exist on the planet and only six are in working order – like the one that was sold.
