Google Immersive View for Routes is coming soon and it will provide a 3D bird’s-eye view of streets at every turn. Generative AI enhances this experience with traffic simulations and weather during your journey. This technology seamlessly fuses computer vision, AI, Google Street View and aerial images together to create detailed models of the world.
Immersive View for Routes has a time slider that lets drivers see air quality information and how the roads look and changes in weather throughout the day. Regardless of the mode you select, Immersive View uses AI and historical driving trends to show you just how many cars might be on the road at any given time. The service is set to roll out over the summer in Amsterdam, Berlin, Florence, Las Vegas, Dublin, London, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Miami, Seattle Tokyo, San Francisco, San Jose and Venice.

With our new Aerial View API, developers can easily integrate a 3D birds-eye video of a point of interest into their apps, offering people more visual information about a place. Rent. is already using the Aerial View API to help renters visualize a property and its surrounding area so they can explore a neighborhood virtually and make more informed decisions about where to live,” said Miriam Daniel, VP, Google Maps Experiences.
