Add the Google Pixel Watch 2, as well as the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones, to the list of products that are set to be revealed on October 4. A leaked promo video showcases some of the smartwatch’s new features including a skin temperature sensor as well as improved multi-path heart rate tracking.
Some other rumored features are Fitbit’s stress management integration that uses body-response tracking to detect stress in the user’s body, seven workouts modes (running, outdoor cycling, etc.), and ‘Safety Check’ that enables users to schedule a timer for certain situations. The latter prompts that users to confirm if they’re ok once the timer is over, and if no response is received, it automatically triggers ‘Emergency Sharing’ with real-time location tracking. One other thing to note is that the battery life is supposedly good for 24-hours of continuous use on a single charge, even with the always-on dislay.
- The Google Pixel Watch has a beautiful circular, domed design and new experience with Wear OS by Google, so it’s easy to get help at a glance[1]
- Stay on top of activity, calories burned, and more with Fitbit activity tracking[2] Plus, enjoy 6 months of Fitbit Premium included.[15]
- Track your heart rate and get insight into your sleep[2]; and assess your heart rhythm for AFib with ECG[3]
