Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 2 could be something Rockstar is working on, but TeaserPlay didn’t want to wait for an official announcement. So, they created a cut scene in Unreal Engine 5 showing a slightly older Tommy Vercetti returning to Vice City after 37-years, visiting several familiar locations, but with modernized graphics.
It’s safe to assume that a Vice City sequel would still have players controlling Tommy Vercetti and completing missions—linear scenarios with set objectives—to progress through the story. Several missions were available at one time in the original game, as some require the player to wait for further instructions or events. When not on missions, the player should still be able to freely roam Vice City and have the ability to complete optional side missions.
