You’ve seen the world’s fastest garbage can, now check out the world’s fastest shopping cart by Grind Hard Plumbing. It wasn’t easy attaching a 900cc Honda CBR motorcycle-sourced engine onto a standard shopping cart as you’re about to see, but in the end, everything worked out.
In a motorcycle chassis, the Honda CBR 900 RR’s inline-four, four-stroke engine makes 125 hp and 69.3 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox, enabling the bike to hit 62 mph in 3.1-seconds, while topping out at 157.8 mph. Now installing this engine on a shopping cart required custom fabricating a frame from scratch, and even so, the team was only able to run it for around 15-minutes before the engine blew up. Future plans do include finding a more reliable engine and finding a way to integrate an actual suspension system.
