James Hobson, also known as “Hacksmith”, has built a real-life electromagnetic Captain America shield. While not made from vibranium, this aluminum version consists of a bracer system with two industrial strength electromagnets, powered by three lithium-polymer battery packs, which weigh in at 30-pounds total.
