What do you get when you combine an old shipping container and a truck? If you’re foodie Jon Darsky, a full=featured mobile pizzeria, complete with a traditional Italian-made wood-fired oven. Built at a cost of $180,000, he worked with four designers to retrofit the shipping container onto a heavy-duty delivery truck. The oven can reach temperatures of up to 800 degrees and takes up almost 1/3 of the space inside. The up side is that it only takes about 1 minute to cook each of the pizzas. The Del Popolo pizza truck makes the rounds of the San Francisco Bay Area.
