McDonald’s released a limited edition Chicken McNugget handheld game console in China around 2-weeks ago that came loaded with Tetris, but modder Taki Udon found one that has been modified to play countless more titles. The device consists of a simple PCB, LCD screen, removable battery, and power switch.
The modified Chicken McNugget is basically the electronics from an NES emulator handheld wired up to the existing buttons. Unfortunately, you’ll need both the McNugget chassis and a donor NES emulator handheld. The latter can be found for at Five Below for around $10 or so. There are a total of 400,000 Nugget-Tetris devices available at mainland China locations through June 27, and then an additional 100,000 for users of the Ele.me food delivery app.
