McDonald's China Exercise Bike
McDonald’s China is testing out a new concept in two of its restaurants that let customers work out while they dine. The first location can be found in the southern Guangdong province at a restaurant promoting a low-carbon, environmentally friendly lifestyle. Aside from the health benefits, these bikes, made from recycled plastic, also generate electricity to charge mobile devices. Read more for a video and additional information.



The other location can be found in Shanghai in what appears to be a shopping mall. McDonald’s China confirmed that these are exercise bikes are a part of the country’s “Upcycle for Good” project, an initiative focused on creating products with plastic parts from recycled materials. More customer feedback is being collected before the company decides if they will be expanding to other cities.
