Set for release on PlayStation 5 and PC platforms later this year, Helldivers 2 is a third-person shooter game that lets you join forces with up to four friends on giant aliens threatening the safety of your home planet. Stratagems, powerful tools that can be summoned with short button combinations, lets you perform everything from airstrikes to Hellpods containing bigger, badder weapons.
When choosing stratagems, it is very important to coordinate with your team to select the best possible load-outs for the enemies and mission type. Once your Hellpod lands on a planet, support stratagems can be called upon, which include more powerful weapons, shield generates, and supply backpacks. Aside from cooperative combat, there are also cooperative objectives to tackle. This game takes place in a futuristic world where mankind is ruled by the managed democracy of Super Earth, and players take on the role of Helldivers, elite soldiers who fight to protect the rest of humanity from multiple enemy factions.
