At first glance, the BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses appear normal, but they are actually innovative motorcycle goggles with heads-up display technology. This means that riders will have all relevant data directly in front of them including navigation, speed, and gear.
The smartglasses can easily be paired with your smartphone, enabling users to adjust the projection position and settings before the ride or during, via the multicontroller on the motorcycle handlebars. The design of the glasses and display have been adapted to meet the special needs of motorcyclists, an important feature since there are numerous helmets and face shapes. On a full charge, the lithium-ion battery is good for up to ten hours of operation. It’s set for release later this year in Canada, with pricing yet to be announced.

For riders who wear prescription glasses, the lenses can be ground and adjusted to the required visual acuity (up to max. 4 diopters) by an optician using an RX adapter. For those who wear contact lenses, the Smartglasses can be used normally. The set also includes a case and a USB charging cable,” said BMW.
