Huawei’s Ox Horn Campus, a research center on Songshan Lake in Dongguan, was modeled after a dozen European cities and cost $1.5 billion to complete. The company plans on transferring approximately 25,000 employees from their Shenzhen office to this new headquarters, as they are offering them company-exclusive homes for easy transportation.



For those who decide to commute, the 50km (31mi) journey takes around 1-hour, but Huawei will provide free bus transportation. The 1.4 million square meter campus and is divided into 4 sections, which span 12 blocks, with each dedicated to their own European city (Paris, Gothenburg, Verona, Freiburg, Granada, etc.). Huawei believes this. change of scenery will spark their employees’ imaginations, as China’s largest cities are filled with skyscrapers.
