Here’s a first look at one of Rolls-Royce’s SUV concept mules, also known as “Project Cullinan.” For the non auto enthusiasts, “mules” are basically testbeds used to help engineers in the development of new cars. They are based on existing models, and typically camouflaged, but this model is an exception. As you can see, it’s essentially a modified Phantom Series II, but with a shortened wheelbase, extra ground clearance, and created exclusively to test the Cullinan SUV’s all-wheel-drive system, as well as the suspension. Other notable features include: quad exhausts and a rear spoiler used to replicate the aerodynamics of an SUV. No word yet on when the official reveal will be.
