5. Tools

According to its handler, Poncho is a 30-year-old double yellow headed amazon parrot that’s capable of using one of his own feathers to help scratch his head, and he wasn’t even trained to do this – he figured it out on his own.

4. Self-Portrait

Sam could quite possibly be one of the geekiest parrots ever, and this video proves it. His owner left him with a Samsung ST550 digital camera, and secretly recorded him with another. Let’s just say he captured many profile worthy shots of himself.

3. Einstein

Einstein, a very smart parrot, has appeared on many television shows and became famous for her ability to recreate sounds as well as voice. Video clips show her making the sound of a laser beam and an evil laugh. She has been trained by Stephanie White.

2. Alex

Not just any parrot, Alex had a vocabulary of about 150 words, but was exceptional in that he appeared to have understanding of what he said. For example, when Alex was shown an object and was asked about its shape, color, or material, he could label it correctly.

We just had to save the best for last, and this talented parrot definitely fits the bill. It can not only sing, but is capable of reproducing the screams heard in Drowning Pool’s “Let the Bodies Hit the Floor” as well.
