Videographer Peter Mieras was seeking the perfect shot in Barkley Sound, Vancouver Island, Canada and that’s when he decided to place an Insta360 X4 action camera on a fishing line and drop it into 30 feet of water.
After hitting the water, a flock of birds as well as a few sea lions began attacking a bait ball, that is before a humpback whale which appeared just a short distance away from where Mieras and his wife Kathy were standing. The couple watched in awe as a feeding frenzy took place in front of them. Fortunately, the camera was not damaged and retrieved successfully.

I dropped the Insta360 X4 off the dock at 30 feet deep and just let it run. It ran for one hour and 45 minutes and after a while, all the underwater life showed up,” said Mieras.
