Flik Fying Electric Bicycle

It’s a bird…it’s a plane..it’s Flike? That’s right, this full-electric flying bicycle – developed by a Hungarian team in just 6-months – has completed its first flight. To be more specific, it remained aloft in controlled tests for over a minute, with lithium-polymer batteries to power the cycle’s six rotors that have the capacity to sustain a 30-40 minute flight. Continue reading for the video and more information.

The lift is generated by the six rotors, grouped in counter-rotating pairs of three axes, equally located around a circle. “By individually controlling each of these rotors, the Flike is able to maneuver much like a helicopter, including the ability to hover, roll, bank, drift, yaw, climb, turn, sidle and dive as well as other features yet to be named. Its Lithium Polymer batteries currently allow for 15-20 minutes of hover flight, or 30-40 minutes of cruise flight,” reports Inhabitat
