Web designer Alek Lisefski was tired of paying rent in pricey neighborhoods, so he decided to build his own tiny house on wheels. With absolutely no construction experience, it took Lisefski just 6-months while still working his day job, and $30,000, to complete the 240-square-foot home. When his girlfriend Anjali Krystofiak enrolled in graduate school in Northern California, the couple hitched up their home and towed it approximately 2300-miles from Iowa to Sebastopol, California, where the median home price is over $600,000.
