Set for release on July 11, 2025 in the US, James Gunn’s Superman is the first film in the DC Universe (DCU) and a reboot of the original film series. It opens with an injured Superman (David Corenswet) having flashbacks, before Krypto, his pet dog on Krypton, comes to the rescue.
This reboot will follow Clark Kent’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his adoptive human family in Smallville, Kansas. The film stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent / Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason / Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, and Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl.
