Mad Max: Fury Road Cars

Mad Max: Fury Road may be set in a future desert wasteland where gasoline and water are scarce commodities, but there was no shortage of vehicles in the film. Photographer John Platt captured these apocalyptic machines before many were destroyed on set in the Namibian desert. Envisioned by writer director George Miller, production designer Colin Gibson managed to bring 150 of these beasts to life. The movie has grossed over $378-million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing film in the Mad Max franchise. Continue reading for another video, more pictures and information. “Each one has a really stunning amount of detail to them. From Furiosa’s War Rig, to one of the many motorcycles and trucks that were driven in pursuit throughout the movie, Platt managed to get a portrait of each in full, stunning detail. In fact, he does such a good job one gets the sense when looking back on all of these vehicles that they were as much characters in the movie as the actors that drove them,” reports Hi Consumption.
