Mortal Kombat 11 is set to get lots of major updates and some were revealed at The Game Awards 2019 yesterday. Most notably, Joker is being added to the game on January 28, 2019, and in the teaser trailer, he’s pitted against a Cassie Cage wearing the Harley Quinn costume that NetherRealm showcased back in October 2019.
Mortal Kombat 11 cross-play, known as Krossplay in the official FAQs, is currently being tested, thus enabling PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners to play the game together across the platforms. Once live, there will also be specific Krossplay Online Rooms for multiplayer, since progress on one console can’t be carried over to another.
