LEGO has finally given Star Wars fans what they’ve been waiting for: a 9,023-piece Death Star, the biggest in the company’s Star Wars collection. Officially known as the LEGO Star Wars Death Star – Ultimate Collector Series (set number 75419), this behemoth debuted today in Billund, Denmark.
The set, which stands over 20 inches tall and about 19 inches wide, is a compact but complicated vertical build. Every layer of this space station is filled with detail, from the dirty walls of the garbage compactor to Emperor Palpatine’s elegant throne room. Each scene pays homage to memorable moments from A New Hope and Return of the Jedi. You can replicate Luke and Leia’s daring swing across the retractable bridge, as well as the lightsaber duel between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The passageways are brought to life by 38 minifigures, including Luke in both Jedi and Stormtrooper guises, Han Solo, Darth Vader, and two droids. There’s even a stormtrooper in a hot pool, a playful homage to the LEGO Star Wars video games.

What sets this Death Star apart is the attention to the inner workings of the station. The tractor beam control unit, Princess Leia’s cell and the Imperial shuttle hangar are all meticulously crafted, so you can explore the nooks and crannies. Insiders will also get 5,000 points to redeem for a 31 by 23-inch limited-edition poster (only 5,000 in the world) to display their fandom. With all that and the size of the set, it’s the centerpiece of any Star Wars collection.
