Comprised of 540 pieces, the LEGO Super Mario Piranha Plant (71426) not only recreates the iconic leafy green stalk topped with a white-spotted red globe, but it has a movable mouth, stalk as well as the ability to grow out of the warp pipe. The one thing this LEGO version can’t do is walk freely on its own roots like in some of the Super Mario Bros. games.
You build this set from the bottom up, so the Piranha Plant seemingly grows out of the pipe, complete with sharp teeth. LEGO Mario cannot pick up this Piranha Plant, like in Super Mario 3D World, and use it as a weapon against enemies. The good news is that the set will be available on November 6, 2023 directly from LEGO stores and select retailers, priced at $59.99 USD.
