Happen to be visiting Nintendo New York at Rockefeller Center in the near future? You’ll be able to see a real-life version of Mario’s boots from The Super Mario Bros. movie by Minnesota-based Red Wing Shoes. The footwear company worked with the film’s creative team to transform every on-screen pixel into a real-life stitch.
What they ended up with was a pair of boots made from durable, natural leather and slip-resistant treads that would definitely be used by the super plumber. Its mycelium heel pads offer a power-up of sorts to help Mario take on Bowser and his army. You’ll have until April 30 to see this in person at Nintendo New York before they move onto their next location.
- LEGO Super Mario Adventures with Peach Starter course includes interactive Princess Peach, Lemmy and Yellow Toad figures and a buildable course
- The interactive Peach figure has a color sensor, an LCD screen to display instant reactions and a speaker to play sounds from the video games
- Kids earn rewards from the Flying ? Block plus digital coins for helping LEGO Peach play on the swing and for interactions with the Yellow Toad

At Red Wing Shoe Company, we’ve been supplying long-lasting, durable and comfortable footwear that protects trades workers on the job site for 118 years. We were excited to deliver that same ambition and energy to Mario’s Boots as one of the most famous plumbers in the world!,” said Dave Schneider, CMO, Red Wing Shoes.
