Why bother with the BOOX Palma, when you could get Hefei LCFC’s Gemini. This Lenovo subsidiary debuted a dual E-ink tablet that can double as a mini laptop of sorts.
It features two 7.8″ E-ink screens that can be used either as a dual-screen ebook reader or as a laptop with a virtual keyboard, complete with stylus support. A 360-degree hinge connects the two screens, enabling users to flip them and use the device like a traditional book. The stylus it comes with appears to have a built-in microphone that can be clipped onto a shirt. Other features include at least one USB-C port, a rear camera, and stereo speakers. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability.
- Kindle Paperwhite – Now with a 6.8” display and thinner borders, adjustable warm light, up to 10 weeks of battery life, and 20% faster page turns.
- Purpose-built for reading – With a flush-front design and 300 ppi glare-free display that reads like real paper, even in bright sunlight.
- More books in more places – Store thousands of titles, then take them all with you. A single charge via USB-C last weeks, not hours.

LCFC operates an intelligent manufacturing strategy, harnessing automation, intelligent construction technologies, and digital tools to support production. Its manufacturing sites are capable of processing 5,000 orders a day—80% of which are multi-configuration orders. With more than 2,000 components available, LCFC has the potential to deliver tens of thousands of unique customizations,” according to Lenovo.
