The Lenovo Legion Y90 gaming smartphone is set to become the fastest yet when it’s released on February 28 in China. Why? The company’s third-generation Legion handset is getting RAID 0 storage, which is essentially the process of dividing a body of data into blocks and spreading the data blocks across multiple storage devices in a redundant array of independent disks (RAID) group. In this case, it’s 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 512GB internal UFS 3.1 flash storage and then a 128GB SSD for a total of 640GB.
Other features include a 6.9-inch AMOLED (2460 x 1080) display with a 144Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, a dual rear camera system (64MP + 13MP), a 16MP front-facing selfie camera, vapor chamber cooling, USB-C charging, and a 5600mAh battery (2 x 2800mAh). There’s no word yet on pricing, but it will come bundled with a 68W GaN fast charger.
