The Nintendo Switch is a fine portable game console, but it’s still an extra device to lug around, but what if there were an alternative for those who prefer smartphone gaming? Meet LUDI by industrial designer Antoine Beynel. Simply slide your handset into the controller, and you get a functional D-pad, dual analog sticks, X / Y / A / B buttons, and two shoulder buttons on each side. In addition to being a smartphone-compatible game controller, you’ll also be able to use it with Google Stadia, the company’s new streaming service. If your handset is too large, there’s an internal slider that comes out, expanding the controller for phablet-style devices. Other features include stereo speakers, a large battery pack and wireless charging capabilities.
