Created by Federico Diaz and measuing 20ft x 50ft, this massive geometric sculpture was rendered in a 3D program, consisting of 420,000 balls. The real-life structure will be put together by a “3D painting” robotic system. Click here for more pictures. Video after the break.
Diaz programmed the CAD software, using particle physics to simulate the liquid. Once he got the frozen shape he wanted, he created another 3D manufacturing software, taking the spherical pixels into real 3D space.
