Meta Dual-Camera Smartwatch Prototype Leak
The rumored Meta dual-camera smartwatch is allegedly canceled, but Bloomberg still managed to get photos of one of the prototypes. Featuring smooth rounded corners, a 12-megapixel rear camera that can be used when the main module is removed from the bands, and a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie camera.

What might have caused Meta to abandon this $349 smartwatch? Well, the second camera was reportedly designed so users could remove the watch face from the bands to snap photos, but the presence of the camera sensors caused issues with another feature for translating nerve signals from the wrist into digital commands, or electromyography. Whatever the case may be, it’s still not as fascinating as Seiko’s Ruputer, the world’s first smartwatch, or the gesture-controlled Casio AT-552 Janus calculator watch.
