According to insider sources, Michael Jackson and friends were originally hired to compose Sonic the Hedgehog 3’s music. Everything was completed, and ready to be digitized, but scrapped due to the scandal. Video after the break.

As a result, SEGA thought it would be best to pull his music and name from the game/credits. However, since Sonic 3 was already on a tight time budget (several levels had to be cut) the music remained, but MJ and his credit did not.
