Homebrew fans rejoice! The MIG Switch flash cart has been released for the Nintendo Switch, but it requires a microSD card to function. Fortunately, you won’t have to install anything or modify the console to get it working.
This backup and development device reportedly works on all Nintendo Switch consoles, regardless of their version, firmware, type (OLED, Standard or Lite). However, to back up your legally owned Nintendo Switch games, a separate MIG Switch Dumper device is needed. One thing to note is that every official Switch game cartridge has a unique certificate, which means the company is able to see if the same one is being used across several devices simultaneously, resulting in your Nintendo ID being banned.
- Limited-edition design featuring elements inspired by Mario. Available while supplies last!
- Local co-op*, local wireless*, and online multiplayer**
- Detachable Joy-Con controllers
Mig Dumper is the perfect companion to your Mig Switch cart. It is not required to use your Mig Switch, although it is the most convenient and elegant way to back up your games. The first units of Mig Dumper will ship at the end of February 2024,” said the MIG Switch Team.
