Since the PlayStation 5 Portable isn’t coming anytime soon, fans can most certainly expect a Nintendo Switch Lite OLED / Pro model sooner than later. One fan went as far as designing a Nintendo Switch OLED Tears of the Kingdom special edition, complete with a Triforce that might light up should there be hidden LEDs in the case.
Set for release on May 12, Tears of the Kingdom is a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild, retaining many gameplay elements of its predecessor including the open-world environment of Hyrule that has been expanded to allow for more vertical exploration. Link is also joined by Zelda to battle Ganon. On a related note, did you know Tears of the Kingdom was first conceptualized in 2017 after developers realized that the DLC was unable to fit all their ideas? Tears of the Kingdom was initially planned for release in 2022, but as announced in the latest Nintendo Direct, the official launch is just months away.
