Gamemode One has just released their Minecraft Sonic Texture Pack DLC and it completely transforms the way Overworld looks and feels. Players will be able to spawn into familiar Sonic the Hedgehog Zones like Green Hill and Labyrinth while mining for emerald shards, recovering hearts with chao fruit or crafting an Excalibur sword.
No Minecraft adventure is complete without a few rowdy mobs and that’s why Gamemode Ones’s Scott Kerslake reimagined them as Badniks in this texture pack, complete with a surprise appearance by a ‘certain eggy individual’. It was a lot of fun to adapt the most iconic Eggman Badniks and Sonic creatures while still preserving the Minecraft experience. It was quite a challenging undertaking but it resulted in the best of both games shining through! It was also fun to interpret Sonic Zones as Minecraft biomes.
