Slated for a May 7, 2022 theatrical release, Mission Impossible 7, directed by Christopher McQuarrie, follows Rogue Nation and Fallout. Tom Cruise reprises his role as Ethan Hunt, along with a few other familiar names, including Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, as well as Frederick Schmidt. Locals report that construction has been going on for months at Darlton Quarry, but filming was delayed due to the pandemic. However, the locomotive was seen traveling through the village on a lorry earlier in the week before being placed on a short section of specially-built track. Tom Cruise is currently filming scenes at Warner Bros Studios in Hertfordshire, and various other locations in the UK.
