NASA astronaut Don Pettit captured this once in a lifetime image of the Milky Way, zodiacal light, and SpaceX’s Starlink satellites above Earth in a single image. For those wondering what zodiacal light is, it refers to the faint elongated cone of lights you see above that extends from the horizon along the ecliptic.

Pettit captured this image on January 11 from the Dragon Crew 9 vehicle port window. Crew Dragon is the same vehicle you see in the livestreams with three large touchscreens that allow the pilot and commander to monitor as well as control the spacecraft. This is also the same spacecraft that will eventually bring NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams back to Earth this spring.
